OLOT, the city of volcanoes
Olot is a city especially known for its natural interest and for being part of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park. In its municipal area there are four volcanoes, but the most interesting and visitable is Montsacopa. You can follow the route and climb to the crater where you will find El Fortín del Volcano Montsacopa is a small restaurant located at the top of the volcano, just 10 minutes walk from the center of Olot (vehicle access to the same restaurant is only allowed to people with reduced mobility, upon request in the same restaurant)
The surroundings of Olot also have a rich natural heritage with the fountains and wetlands of La Moixina. Also notable is the unique botanical garden of Parque Nou.
The city of Olot has an interesting cultural heritage. Architecturally, several modernist style monuments can be highlighted. Also worth highlighting are the Renaissance cloisters of Carme and the churches of Virgen del Tura and Sant Esteve, made up of buildings of different styles from the Middle Ages to the 16th century.
The most notable museums are the Regional Museum of La Garrotxa and the Museum of Saints
Olot has a wonderful athletics track designed by the famous RCR architects, right next to the Greenway
