The unique beauty of volcanoes with their lava flows
The Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park is the most important example of volcanic landscape on the Iberian Peninsula. It has about forty volcanic cones and more than 20 lava flows and is made up of 11 municipalities.
Its orography, soil and climate provide it with varied vegetation, often exuberant, with oak and beech forests of exceptional landscape value.
In the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park there are pedestrian itineraries that pass through the most interesting places in the Natural Park. Most of them are signposted, except for some of the longer ones which, if you are used to them, can be easily followed with the help of the Natural Park's guide map. The Natural Park has an extensive range of publications.
The Natural Park itineraries often connect with those of the trail network Itinerànnia
